Montgomery County, Texas, can lay claim to several successful wineries in the area. Many of them are on the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail. Many have also won national awards for their wines.

Texas wines have a certain flair and air about them. Not just from the grapes that make the wine, but the way Texas wine is promoted and celebrated throughout the state.

Before getting to the wineries, I must mention  my personal favorite – Rebecca Creek Distillery.  Rebecca Creek Whiskey was ranked Top Three American Whiskeys in the 2015 Ultimate Spirits Challenge! Rebecca Creek was the first distillery built in south Texas and remains one of North America’s largest craft distilleries.
